Dig Deep: Career Health Assessment & Coaching Program
In job transition? Burning out? Done with the man and tempted to start your own thing?
Or maybe you’re just really confused about why you always seem to hate going to work no matter what job you’ve had?
Getting to the core of your career health barriers and enablers, then doing something about them, is exactly what this program is designed for. With 12 coaching sessions combined with powerful career health assessments, this program guides you through a deep dive to understanding and addressing all of your ickies around your work life (for now and the future). Plus, you’ll have scheduling priority and access to on-demand mini-sessions during your time in the program, and gain lifetime access to Dr. Jess’ E-courses with critical reminders to help you keep a healthy career long-term.
Program Component Overview:
Coaching is best when it meets you where you’re at on the day-to-day. Although the path is personalized to every individual, some common themes and activities are likely to be explored:
Career Health Assessment: Complete four questionnaires designed to highlight the most important elements of your values, motivators, and preferences that influence your career health most. These results are then used to inform decision-making in future career and coaching scenarios.
Life management support: Stress management is bigger than what most people think. To do it effectively involves digging into life management practices beyond simple solutions such as introducing more exercise or mindfulness. These are wonderful additives to a practice but if you’re suffering alignment or burnout issues, re-racking life management practices and associated supports can be a game changer.
Revisit your career adventure (so far!): Understanding where you’ve been -and why- is helpful to determine the best steps forward. Sometimes people experience a sort of work-related PTSD from past jobs or bosses that are holding them back. Other times individuals simply fell into a career that they didn’t enjoy because it was available to them. Whatever is part of your work history is examined so any barriers to alignment can be addressed.
Job fit analysis: Once assessments and exploration are completed, the “So, what do I do to fix the alignment issues,” becomes the natural question and progression. This begins for most with looking at the fit of current work and determining if there is a more satisfying path forward with some adjustment to current conditions or if the job market or entrepreneurial endeavors are likely to be more fruitful when it comes to fit and satisfaction. Which option is chosen, determines the second half of your coaching.

Do Some Work: Mini Career Health Assessment & Coaching Program
The Career Health Assessment is a 1-month, package targeted at identifying and addressing underlying career alignment and health issues. This is the best place to start for an in-depth, highly personalized, short-term career consult to get to the root cause and clear underlying issues that lead to burnout, satisfaction, energy, and career longevity issues.
This assessment package includes the completion of four different questionnaires that focus on critical elements for work satisfaction. Written results are provided but the real impact lies in the expert interpretation and time spent with Dr. Jess in review and subsequent coaching sessions applying these learnings to your current and potential career scenario. Plus, you’ll have scheduling priority and access to on-demand mini-sessions for your 1-month, and lifetime access to Dr. Jess’ E-courses with critical reminders to help you keep a healthy career long-term.
Over the program:
Take 4 questionnaires: MBTI-like preference typing, social styles, career values, motivators inventories
Receive results report for questionnaires (.PDF)
Attend four total weekly coaching sessions:
Two results review sessions, up to 90m each, dedicated to helping you understand and integrate your comprehensive assessment results
Two career coaching sessions, up to one hour each, dedicated to career planning and addressing any alignment or satisfaction issues. May be used to put plans in motion - resume, LinkedIn, interview, and other job search support can be provided using these coaching sessions.

Coaching FAQ’s

Coaching sessions take place on Zoom or in-person at Dr. Jess’ office in Downtown Vancouver, WA. For local clients, this is based on client preference and determined as part of our session scheduling.
Dr. Jess’ office is located in an old historic building on Main Street. The building has no elevator and office access requires one flight of stairs. Please request Zoom or a community location in advance if we need an alternative meeting place.

During each session, we’ll check-in to discuss anything top of mind, ah-has or questions from the week before, and agree on the focus for the day. We’ll do some focused work, then check out, which includes assigning activities and tools that might require your time outside of the coaching session from week to week.
It’s a basic and effective formula that works really well to ensure topics carry on from week to week and learning is integrated outside of our coaching - which is the point! :)
